WWE Smackdown Live Event Results (12/26/12) – Chicago, Illinois



WWE ran a Smackdown holiday live event Wednesday night from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Thanks to Wrestling News World reader Lawrence for sending us text message updates. Below are full results:
* Alberto Del Rio won a battle royal to earn a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship later in the night. Also involved were Ted DiBiase, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, Alex Riley, Fandango, Primo, Epico, 3MB and Michael McGillicutty.
* Layla & Alicia Fox b. Tamina Snuka & Aksana
* Alex Riley b. Michael McGillicutty
* Fandango b. Ted DiBiase
* Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel b. Jinder Mahal & Heath Slater
* The Great Khali & Hornswoggle b. Epico & Primo. Because Epico and Primo lost, they had to sing Christmas carols. Rosa Mendes joined them as they sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Feliz Navidad. We’re told it was “painful.”
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston b. Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio in a triple threat match when Kofi pinned Barrett.
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston b. Wade Barrett when Barrett demanded a rematch. After the match, Barrett issued an open challenge to anyone in the Smackdown locker room.
* Ted DiBiase b. Wade Barrett after answering the challenge.
* World Heavyweight Champion Big Show b. Sheamus in a steel cage match
* Ryback, Daniel Bryan & Kane b. The Shield
