WWE listed as a supporter of SOPA

Reported by Ernest I Aguilar
The website TheoriesOfConspiracy.com has compiled a list of over 350 companies who are supporting SOPA - the Stop Online Piracy Act - and WWE was listed as one of them.

The bill, which is now being redrafted after the Senate postponed a key vote following the Internet protests, is being proposed to stop websites from holding any kind of copyrighted and trademarked media and would require that search engines block access to offending websites. The government could then prosecute individual owners of websites who would face up to five years in prison.

Earlier this week, several Internet giants such as Google, Wikipedia, and others went black in protest with other companies such as Yahoo, AOL, Amazon, YouTube, eBay, PayPal, etc not supporting the proposed bill.

WWE is obviously after protecting their intellectual property and the company does everything in its power to stop illegal pay-per-view streams online and other activities that result in the owners making money off of them.
