McMahon says no to Punk to escort Sonnen at UFC on FOX

MMA reporter Ariel Helwani wrote yesterday that Vince McMahon has shot down the idea of having WWE champion CM Punk walk down with Chael Sonnen for his UFC on FOX fight on January 28. The confirmation came from Punk himself who listed McMahon as the reason he won't be joining Sonnen.

The news of Punk and Sonnen teaming up was reported a week or so ago when Sonnen asked the champ to escort him to the cage at the end of the month. The UFC and WWE were not involved in any of the negotiations and the whole thing was drawn up by them individually. 

Both Punk and Sonnen are from Chicago and the UFC event takes place in Chicago.
