O'Neal is a huge wrestling fan and has appeared at several WWE shows as a guest and was also the RAW guest host in 2009. He also appeared and participated in a WCW pay-per-view several years ago. In late December of last year, O'Neal announced during an appearance on a radio show that he was in negotiations to appear at WrestleMania and have a possible match against the Big Show. The two had an altercation when O'Neal guest hosted RAW and O'Neal ended up shoulder-blocking Show out of the ring that night. If this match ends up happening, it will be Big Show's third time wrestling at a WrestleMania against a non-WWE performer. At WrestleMania 21, Show worked against Akebono in a sumo match and then at WrestleMania 24 he wrestled boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
