WWE says Shaq will not be at WrestleMania XXVIII

WWE issued somewhat of a statement on WWE.COM saying that despite his recent media interview, former NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal will not be at WrestleMania. 

"Despite Shaquille O'Neal's claim that he will compete at WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami, WWE officials have informed WWE.com that the 15-time NBA All-Star is not scheduled to appear on the card," read the statement.

Last week O'Neal told the celebrity gossip site HollywoodLife.com that he will be participating in the show although he never specified in what capacity. Late last year during a radio show O'Neal said that he was in negotiations with WWE to wrestle the Big Show at WrestleMania.
