WWE Studios Executive Vice President Mike Pavone leaves

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Mike Pavone, the Executive Vice President of WWE Studios, resigned last week from the company to pursue other interests.

Pavone joined WWE Studios in mid June 2009 and was in charge of all theatrical releases, direct-to-DVD movies, series and reality programming and reported directly to Vince McMahon. 

Pavone worked with WWE prior to his appointment as EVP at WWE Studios and was a strategic consultant to WWE's creative writing department. 

The company was not available for comment when reached by the LA Times to talk about his exit.
