Smackdown rating for 01/07/2011

Smackdown last Friday night did a 1.95 rating for the two hour show with an average of 2,845,000 viewers. That rating is the best one since Smackdown moved to SyFy and is up from last week's 1.4 on New Year's eve. The live Smackdown on USA Network that week drew a 2.5.

With a great number also comes a press release from SyFy, pimping the number as the second most watched in terms of viewership since its move. The first show drew a lower rating but 30,000 viewers more.

Friday's show also had 1.1 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic and 1.04 million in the 25-54 demographic, important numbers that are usually used to sell advertising. (Ratings compiled by Nielsen Media Research and put online by PWInsider.com)
