The Smack is being laid Down for us this week in Columbus Ohio. The show begins with a recap of Christian's victory last week over Alberto Del Rio in a steel cage. In the back, Teddy Long and Edge are arguing about some decision Teddy has made.
Eventually we discover that Teddy has decided that if either Edge or Alberto touches each other before their title match, they will be banned from WrestleMania.
Match #1: Rey Mysterio versus CM Punk. (a rewind match from WrestleMania 26)
After they lock up, Punk pushes Rey to the corner and beats Rey down. Rey eventually fights his way out of the corner and hits Punk with a hurricanrana, sending him to the ropes. Rey goes for a 619 but Punk gets out of the way. Rey lands a kick to the face and goes for a cover. Rey goes for a cross body but Punk dodges. Punk beats Rey down and stomps on his chest before going for a cover and getting a two count.
Punk puts Rey in an abdominal stretch and grinds an elbow into him. Rey eventually reverses the hold and sends Punk out to the floor. Rey goes after Punk outside the ring and Punk slams Rey into the security barrier.

When we return from the break CM Punk is still in control. Punk takes Rey over with a snap mare and puts him in a bodyscissors. Rey fights his way out of the bodyscissors and lands a kick to Punk. After an Irish Whip, Rey attempts a baseball slide but is caught directly under Punk.
Punk stomps Rey and goes for a cover and gets only 2. Punk goes for a suplex but Rey floats over. Punk hits Rey with a cross body and then goes to the top rope. Punk goes for a high cross body but Rey hits him with a drop kick to the ribs in mid air. Rey throws Punk over the top rope with a leg scissors and follows up with a moonsault from the ring apron.
Outside the ring, Cody Rhodes runs out and attacks Rey from behind. Cody repeatedly headbutts Rey with his protective face guard, then pulls up his pant leg to reveal a steel knee brace. The brace is identical to the one Rey was wearing when he broke Cody's nose. Cody knees Rey in the face with the brace.
In the back, Christian asks Edge if it's really wise of him to face Drew McIntyre with an injured arm just 9 days before he has to defend his title against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania. Edge replies that he wants to prove to Alberto and the world that he's 100%.

Match #2: Edge versus Drew McIntyre.
Drew is smiling as the match begins and quickly goes for Edge's injured arm. Edge beats Drew down before Drew turns things around and begins the assault on Edge's bad arm. Drew twists, stomps and punches the injured arm of Edge. Eventually Drew climbs to the top rope while clutching Edge's arm, but Edge pulls him off.
Edge goes for a DDT but appears to have trouble applying the hold with the injured arm. Drew counters with a Future Shock DDT attempt, but Edge blocks that and applies the "Edgecator"; and inverted Sharp Shooter. Drew taps and Edge spears him after the match.

When we return, we're shown another lengthy video promoting the Undertaker HHH match at WrestleMania. Kelly Kelly and Rosa Mendes make their way to the ring for the next match.

Match: #3: Kelly and Rosa versus Team Laycool.
Laycool is apparently doing some insulting Jersey Shore parody to hype their match at WrestleMania. I have no idea what this show Jersey Shore is; I've never seen it and probably never will because reality TV bores me. But this show has now become a major part of WWE AND TNA storylines, so it's practically required viewing for wrestling fans. I'm not going to watch it though. I do dearly love wrestling, but not enough to watch a bad reality show.
Kelly and Rosa attack Michelle and Layla as they do some silly fist pump dance which I assume was inspired by the Jersey Shore. Kelly and Michelle brawl on the floor while Rosa and Layla fight in the ring. Kelly starts off string against Michelle but is dropped by a boot to the face.
Inside the ring, Rosa hits Layla with a pair of clotheslines and a snap suplex. Rosa then turns her attention to Michelle on the ring apron. Layla takes advantage of the distraction and hits Rosa with a neckbreaker for the win.
After the match Laycool makes some comments that might have been funny if I knew anything about the stupid Jersey Shore show, but I don't so it was just dead air to me.

Match #4: Kofi Kingston versus Wade Barrett with the Corre in his corner for the InterContinental title.
The two men lock up and Wade pushes Kofi back. Kofi responds with a series of quick strikes. Kofi maintains the advantage and goes for a quick roll up cover but Wade kicks out. Wade lands a couple of punches and Kofi does a cartwheel. That didn't look as stupid as it sounded; it was an evasive cartwheel. Wade whips Kofi to the ring and charges; Kofi gets his feet up and hits Wade coming in.
Wade traps Kofi in the ropes and pulls back on his arms while driving his knee into his back, then boots Kofi off the ring apron and to the floor. Wade rolls Kofi back into the ring and Kofi tries to fight back with another series of strikes, but Wade cuts him off with a side slam.
ade again stretches back Kofi's arms before body slamming him to set up a flying elbow drop. Kofi rolls out of the way and hits Wade with a series of strikes and a drop kick. Wade retaliates with a back kick and a pump handle slam attempt. Kofi slides out of the slam attempt and goes to the top rope.
Kofi hits a high cross body and follows up with the "boom drop." Kofi sets up for the TIP but is momentarily distracted by Heath Slater. Kofi goes for the TIP but Wade catches him in mid air and hits him with the "Wasteland" for the win. After the match Justin Gabriel hits Kofi with the 450 splash.
In the back, Teddy Long and Alberto Del Rio are having the same argument Teddy and Edge had at the start of the show: Teddy has prohibited Edge and Alberto from having any contact with each other or they will be banned from WrestleMania.

The Undertaker comes out to the Jonny Cash song "Ain't No Grave." The Undertaker is here to tell us that HHH will not beat him at WrestleMania. He says that HHH is putting everything on the line to become a number: 19, meaning the 19th time someone has tried to defeat the Undertaker at WrestleMania and failed.

When we return we see another Sin Cara (Mistico to CMLL fans) promotional video.
Match #5 Jack Swagger versus R-Truth.
Michael Cole rambles on for a while about how Jack Swagger is preparing him for his WrestleMania match with Jerry Lawler by teaching him the ankle lock. Cole calls his version the "an-Cole" lock, which makes it sound like it was named after a woman named "Ann Cole".
The "Ann Cole" lock doesn't sound scary to me at all; he should rename it the "Ann Coulter" lock, that would scare the shit out of any reasonable person.
R Truth finally finishes his rap and gets the name of the city (Columbus) right. As Michael Cole loves to point out, R Truth recently accidentally gave a shout-out to Green Bay while in Milwaukee. As the match gets underway the two men lock up and Swagger gets the early advantage with some punches, a shoulder block, and a belly to belly suplex.
Swagger beats Truth down some more before Truth starts to land some strikes of his own. Swagger whips Truth hard to corner and charges. Truth gets his feet up in time and kicks Swagger in the face and follows up with a clothesline. Truth taunts Swagger and then sends him out to the floor as Swagger charges.
Truth dives over the top rope onto Swagger outside the ring and both hit the ground hard. Back in the ring, Truth goes to the top rope but Swagger knocks him off. Truth gets his leg caught in the ropes and Swagger punishes him.
Swagger drags Truth to the middle of the ring and makes him tap out to the ankle lock. After the match, Michael Cole comes in and taunts Truth and applies the devastating and terrifying Ann Coulter lock (see, doesn't that sound scarier than Ann Cole lock?)

When we return we are shown another Raw recap and are told the Rock will be live on Raw this Monday.

Match #6: Alberto Del Rio (with Roberto Rodriguez and Brodus Clay) versus Christian (with Edge). The two men lock up and jockey for position along the ropes. Alberto gets the edge with a knee to the gut and a headlock. After an Irish Whip Christian lands a forearm shot and then applies a headlock of his own. Alberto hits Christian with a cheap shot in the corner after failing to give a clean break.
Alberto stomps on Christian until Christian forces Alberto to the floor. Christian goes to the top rope and hits Alberto with a cross body outside the ring before we break for commercial.
When we return, Christian hits a springboard twisting sunset flip from the corner to Alberto and goes for a cover, getting a two count. Christian takes Alberto over the top rope and onto the floor. Christian baseball slides out of the ring in pursuit, but is caught by Alberto and slammed into the security barrier. Edge paces angrily, unable to touch Alberto.
Alberto rolls Christian back into the ring and works on Christian's arm to set up the cross arm breaker. Christian tries to fight back but Alberto headbutts him down and then hits him with a back splash from the second rope. Alberto lands a punch and a knee to the head before going back to the injured arm.
Christian lands a forearm shot, and Alberto takes him down and kicks him in the head. Alberto goes to the top rope but Christian cuts him off and hits him with a Frankensteiner. Christian goes for a cover and gets a two count. Christian continues the assault with strikes before going to the top rope to try another cross body. Alberto dodges the cross body but then misses an Enzuigiri.
Christian hits Alberto with a tornado DDT, but Alberto gets his foot on the bottom rope before a count of three. Alberto's ring announcer is the one that pointed out that Alberto had his foot on the rope, so Edge spears him. Brodus Clay takes out Edge from behind. Back in the ring, Alberto tries to apply the cross arm breaker, but Christian reverses and attempts the Kill Switch.
Alberto escapes from the Kill Switch and hits Christian with an Enzuigiri, then follows up with the Cross arm breaker. Christian holds onto the ropes to break the hold. The two men both go for a clothesline at the same time and both go down. Outside the ring, Edge spears Brodus Clay and smashes him with a steel chair.
Back inside the ring, Alberto once again goes after Christian's arm, but Christian hits him with the Kill Switch for the win!!
After the match, Edge grabs a steel chair to attack Alberto and has to be restrained by Christian. Christian tries to explain that Edge can't do that or he will miss his WrestleMania match by waving and pointing frantically at the WrestleMania sign.
Christian then smashes Alberto with the chair instead. I think Edge is glad Alberto was smashed with a chair, but probably would have preferred to do it himself. Christian has now defeated number one contender Alberto Del Rio two weeks in a row, and is trying to keep Edge away from Alberto as SmackDown goes off the air.
Eventually we discover that Teddy has decided that if either Edge or Alberto touches each other before their title match, they will be banned from WrestleMania.
