Reported by Ernest I Aguilar Jesse Sorensen was knocked out cold yesterday during the opening match at the Against All Odds pay-per-view against Zema Ion and the match was stopped immediatley. Sorensen was on the receiving end of a moonsault and Ion's knee smashed Sorensen's head, which knocked him out on the spot. Medics rushed to ringside to help him and he was then taken to a nearby hospital to undergo tests. The match, which was to set who would be the number one contender for the X Division title, was awarded to Ion after it was stopped less than five minutes into it. Sorensen is still hospitalized with no movement to his legs although he reportedly has feelings in his arms and even legs. Jason Powell from ProWrestling.net adds to the story that Sorensen's problems are in his C1 vertebrae, the topmost vertebra that forms the joint connecting the skull and spine. |
