5. The Miz comes out and defends Eve. He rips on R-Truth for quacking on national tv. R-Truth then comes out accompanied by the Oregon Duck mascot. Match between Miz and Truth starts. After a few minutes of comedy the Duck chases Miz up the ramp. This leads to John Laurinaitis coming out and ejecting the Duck. The match resumes, and R-Truth eventually wins. The Duck comes back out to help R-Truth celebrate.

WWE Raw House Show Results (2/25/12) – Ontario, California

Wrestling News World reader Cameron Dougharty was in attendance at last night’s WWE Raw live event from Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California and sent in the following report:
* Brodus Clay d. David Otunga
* Ryback d. JTG
* Beth Phoenix d. Brie Bella (Divas Title Match)
* Epico and Primo d. Mason Ryan and Alex Riley (Tag Team Title Match)
* Eve cut a promo about how she used Zach Ryder and was going to use John Cena
* R-Truth d. The Miz
* Jack Swagger d. Santino Marella (US Title Match)
* Chris Jericho d. Kofi Kingston
* CM Punk d. Dolph Ziggler and Kane (WWE Title Match)
The Raw World Tour was in full effect this evening live from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Ca. Brodus Clay’s music hit as the show opened, much to the surprise of the whole crowd. He took on David Otunga. Clay disappeared from the limelight the past few weeks to work on his in ring abilities as I read online. Otunga dominated the match for the most part, Clay rallied and got the win. It looked like Brodus hadn’t done much but him the gym. He looked to have dropped a few pounds but overall his in ring abilities still aren’t quite up to par. Maybe a visit to FCW is in order.
Ryback, or Skip Sheffield if you prefer than made his way down toward the ring to take on his already waiting opponent JTG. Ryback, whom you might remember from the NXT group had been refining his skills in FCW has now started to make in house appearances the past few weeks. Ryback looked impressive and defeated JTG rather easily despite the crowd rooting for JTG.
Next was the Divas Championship match between Brie Bella and Beth Phoenix. The match was full of back and forth action. Brie was really on the ball tonight, and almost caught the champ slipping. Phoenix would not be denied, and finished off her prey retaining her title. WHERE IS KARMA? Beth is dominating this division, either let the little Hart get her chance, and stop letting her pass gas, or get the former ECW Superstar in there.
Epico and Primo then set out to defend their Tag Team Titles against, in my opinion a pretty good team of Mason Ryan and Alex Riley. Not much came of the match, the fans getting behind Ryan and Riley wasn’t enough as the Puerto Rican duo successfully defended their titles.
Eve made her ‘hoeski’ way down the aisle and cut a promo. Telling the crowd she used Zach Ryder, and was going to use John Cena just like Ryder did to further his career. I personally can’t wait to see where the writers take this angle. The crowd, myself included let Eve know she was a ‘hoeski’ and she started to tear up and made her way to the back. The Miz then followed and cut a promo defending Eve, calling her beautiful even. He turned his attention to R-Truth. After a few minutes of working the crowd, which both do so very well, the match began. The action was non stop, several near falls occurred but ultimately Truth sealed Miz’s fate and celebrated with the crowd. I even saw him sign two autographs right after a grueling ten minute match.
Santino Marella has been getting major tv time for a jobber. He does work hard, and the crowd loves him. Tonight he was rewarded with a U.S. Title match against Jack Swagger. Marella’s jobber ways came out as he really stood no chance. As the crowd continuously chanted “Santino, Santino,” Swagger took out the fearless jobber to retain his title.
Chris Jericho then made his way out. He cut a promo reminding us all that he is the best in the world. The WWE Universe has to respect a man as prestigious Jericho is in this business he still works the in house shows. His opponent was Kofi Kingston. The match was very back and forth. Kofi had two near falls back to back. Jericho then caught Kofi and put him in the walls of Jericho. The crowd knew it was over, somehow Kofi turned the tables on Jericho rolling him into a small package, but only to get another near fall. The odds were stacking against the veteran until out of nowhere, ‘Code Breaker’ and the 1,2,3 for Y2J.
The Main Event was announced as a triple threat match for the WWE title. CM Punk had not one, but two opponents this evening Dolph Ziggler, and the Monster Kane. David Otunga then came back out and announced that Chris Jericho would return and be the special enforcer for the title match. Ziggler quickly made his appearance unknown. Kane and Punk then started off the match. Ziggler made his way back and pushed Punk into the referee. Punk then put Ziggler in the ‘Anaconda Vice’ but Jericho refused to witness Dolph tapping. Frustrating the champ, Punk took his eyes off his opponents and nearly paid for it. As the referee still laid unconscious Jericho then entered the ring hit the ‘Code Breaker’ on Punk. Put Ziggler across CM Punk, but to no avail. Punk still kicked out. He then hit the ‘Go to Sleep’ on Dolph. Punk celebrated as the show came to a close.

* Ricardo Rodriguez is announced and he announced the return of Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio cut a promo on his return until Sheamus interrupted. Sheamus challenged Del Rio to a Royal Rumble winners match, but Del Rio declined and decided to have an Arm Wrestling match between the two instead.
*Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Arm Wrestling match ended in a no contest when Ricardo got involved. Del Rio fled but Ricardo was left behind and took a Brogue Kick from Sheamus.
* World Heavyweight Championship Match: The Big Show b. Daniel Bryan via disqualification. This match had a lot of playing to the crowd, without a whole lot of actual wrestling. Bryan continually went in and out the ring and grabbed a mic at one point to call out a fan who had meat on his pizza. The disqualification came when Cody Rhodes (again) and Jinder Mahal ran out and attacked Big Show. Sheamus then ran out to make the save.
* Intermission

WWE Smackdown House Show Results (2/05/12) – Salt Lake City, Utah

Below are quick results from yesterday’s WWE Smackdown live event from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah:
* The Great Khali b. Jinder Mahal
* Yoshi Tatsu b. Drew McIntyre. After the match WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes came out and took out Yoshi Tatsu.
* Jimmy & Jey Uso b. Heath Slater & Tyson Kidd
* Hunico w/Camacho b. Ezekiel Jackson. After the match WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes came back out and took out Jackson.
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes b. Booker T
* Alicia Fox b. Natalya with Aksana as special guest referee
* Sheamus b. Wade Barrett in a street fight
* Big Show b. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan after Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal came out and attacked Show.
Wrestling News World reader Richard Johnson attended the show and sent in the following report:
I was lucky enough to get to attend the SmackDown house show in Salt Lake yesterday. To be honest, it was just OK. The venue was about half full and that is rounding up.
The opening match was The Great Khali vs. Jinder Mahal. Watching Khali in person did not help his cause. He is so slow in the ring! Mahal Carried the match very well given who he was facing. Khali got the pin clean in the end.
The second match of the afternoon was Yoshi Tatsu vs. Drew McIntyre. Drew cut a promo on his way to the ring about how the losing streak would end because he was not going to lose to Yoshi Tatsu. Yoshi looks good in the ring and can really move! He got the win in the end with a great head kick off the top rope. On the way up the ramp, Yoshi got jumped from behind by Cody Rhodes, at which time Cody cut a heel promo on how he was a future World Heavy weight Champ!
Up third, we had a very good tag match between the Usos (who did there Samoan dance on the set!) and the team of Heath Slater and Tyson Kid. The Usos deserve a shot at the tag titles! Heath Slater is boring in person! Usos got the win double teaming Heath and keeping Tyson out of the ring.
Hunico b. Ezekiel Jackson
We then had, (I feel) the match of the night. Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T for the IC championship. I must first say, I did not expect to see Booker! Cody came out first with the belt around his waist. Then Booker. When Booker got to the ring, he took the belt from Cody and put it on, making fun of Cody. He posed with the belt for about 5 min for the fans, then the match got under way. Booker still looks amazing in the ring. A ton of back and forth. The finish was Booker going for the bookend, Cody counters for the pin and the 3 count. Cody starts the post match beat down, Booker comes back and calls out Hornswoggle. Booker sets up Cody in the corner for the Tadpole splash. Booker then calls for a spin-a-roonie from Hornswoggl as he begins to leave the ring. Hornswoggl, calls him back and we get a Booker T spin-a-roonie!
After the intermission. We had a Divas match with Aksana as the special guest ref. The match was between Alisha Fox and Natalia. Ok for a divas match, a ton of the crowd used this as an extra long intermission. No interaction from the crowd. Very fast match. Best part was Tamina’s run in and hitting the super fly splash on Natalia.
We then got to see Wade Barrett and Sheamus in a street fight. Before the match, Barrett cut a promo about how he is a former bare knuckle champ and is so tough, he could go in the crowd and beat up every one there. Great Match!!! The fight went deep in the crowd, a ton of back and forth. Shamus gets the pin with the bro kick. Best Match of the night.
The main event was Daniel Brian vs. Big Show for the strap. Not a lot to talk about here. The match seemed very rushed like they just wanted to get it over with so they could watch the super bowl. Show got the win after a run in from Drew Mac, and Jinder Mahal.
Overall I would give the show a B or maybe a B-. I wonder if it wasn’t Super Bowl Sunday, it would have been better.

WWE Supershow House Show Results (1/20/12) – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Ryback beat Alex Riley. Otunga attacked Alex Riley after the match.
Diva’s of Doom vs Kelly Kelly and Eve. Winners: Kelly and Eve by roll up.
Swagger cuts a short promo. Flaunts title belt and says he will take on all challengers.
R-Truth comes out to cheers.
Swagger vs R-Truth.  R-Truth wins and is crowned the new U.S champion!  Otunga comes out and informs him it was not a title shot. Truth sadly
hands over the title.
Cody Rhodes vs Ted Dibiase for the Intercontinental championship.  Goldust chant starts up through out the match and annoys Cody. Winner: Cody Rhodes
Barrett cuts a promo about Randy Orton returning to the ring next week. Says the stairs will be nothing compared what he will do to him next. Also talks about his plans to win the Royal Rumble and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Barrett vs Sheamus.  Winner: Sheamus
Jericho comes out to a huge pop. Lots of Y2J chants throughout this segment. Does the usual run around and pointing, getting the crowd excited. After a while he picked up the mike and opens his mouth to talk…only to be interrupted by Otunga who once again comes down to the ring, this time ordering Jericho to take off his jacket because its supposedly a health hazard and will cause seizures. Gives a nod to the fact that Winnipeg is Jericho’s home town. Jericho takes off the jacket. Otunga then orders him to apologize and admit to everyone that Otunga is right. Jericho takes the mic, but then drops it and attacks Otunga, putting him in the Walls of Jericho to a huge pop.  After he put his jacket back on and went back to high fiving everyone before leaving.  He was treated as a face instead of the face to heel thing that the current storyline seems to be heading, probably because of the fact that he was in his home town.
Primo and Epico w/ Rose Mendes vs Kofi Kingston and Mason Ryan for tag team championship. (Wanted to be like Rosa so I shouted Me Gusta! through out the entire match) Winners: Primo and Epico after Rosa hit and distracted Mason Ryan.
Daniel Bryan vs Big show for championship.  Winner: Big Show by DQ when Cody Rhodes and Barrett come out and attack him.
Main Event: CM Punk vs Miz for the WWE Championship in a steel cage.  Winner: Punk.
