Dwayne Johnson is in talks to portray the lead character in the movie 'Pain and Gain,' a movie with a $20 million budget produced by Michael Bay.
Bay - the director of several action movies such as the Transformers franchise, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys and others - has been working on the project for ten years.
The movie is based on a Miami New Times article from 1999 and will follow a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.
Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely - from the Captian America movie - wrote the original script. Paramount Pictures will be the studio supporting the movie.
