Reported by Ernest I Aguilar First day ticket sales for WrestleMania XXVIII resulted in a record gross of $6.3 million according to a press release issued by WWE today, destroying the previous first day record of $4.8 million for WrestleMania XXV. There were no mentions of how many tickets have been sold yet but single seats in the $350 price section are still available. Ticketmaster.com is selling Official Platinum Seats ranging from $200 to $10,000 ringside. Yes, you read correct, that is $10,000. "We are thrilled that WrestleMania XXVIII has already made WWE history in such dramatic fashion," said John Saboor, Senior Vice President of Special Events for WWE. "Coming off the momentum of last year's record breaking event in Atlanta, we fully anticipate that this year's WrestleMania in Miami will be our largest and most successful ever." |
