Reported by Ernest Aguilar WWE aired the Tribute to the Troops two hour show yesterday on USA Network which was taped on Sunday at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina, just 11 miles away from Fort Bragg. The free show featured several guest celebrity appearances doing video greetings as well as live performances by Mary J. Blige and Nickelback. After the main event was over, all the WWE crew came out on the ramp as John Cena spoke on behalf of everyone, thanking the troops for everything they do. Following the speech, the Superstars, Divas, referees, and announcers made their way down to ringside to shake hands, high-five, and hug with the troops and their families at ringside. A one hour encore of the show will air this Saturday on NBC with footage from the trip in Afghanistan that Kofi Kingston, the Bella Twins and Vince McMahon were a part of last week. |
