TNA Files Lawsuit Against WWE and Former Employee

REPORTED BY EARNEST I AGUILAR

WWE and a specific former employee are being sued in Nashville by TNA for a number of offenses.
TNA filed their suit against World Wrestling Entertainment and former WWE employee Brian Wittenstein for interference with existing contracts, conversion, breach of contract, civil conspiracy, unfair competition, and violation of the Tennessee Uniform Trade Secrets Act.  Wittenstein himself is also being sued for breach of duty of loyalty.
Wittenstein, who worked for TNA for three years before taking a position under Michael Hayes, is accused of providing WWE with private information regarding the contracts of TNA talent as well as attempting to raid TNA talent with said information.  According to the lawsuit, WWE fired Wittenstein after he presented this information to WWE officials.
TNA alleges that although WWE was presented with the contract information by Wittenstein, they did not inform TNA that this took place until several weeks later on May 7.  Ric Flair is mentioned in the suit as attempting to get out of his contract; Flair approached TNA about it days after they were informed of Wittenstein's actions by WWE.
No mention was made of Alex Shelley in the lawsuit, who has been rumored to be working with WWE on a deal.
An injunction was issued by the court demanding WWE and Wittenstein hand over any documentation they retained from his time with TNA, with specific orders not to destroy any material.
