WWE signs a three year extension with Sky Deutschland

WWE continues to strengthen its overseas footprint with a new three year deal with Sky Deutschland in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the broadcaster starting to air the full length RAW and all 13 WWE pay-per-views.

NXT, Experience and AfterBurn have also been picked up by the digital satellite company which has over 2.5 million subscribers in the region. All shows will start airing in high-def as well, a first for WWE on Sky Deutschland. Pay-per-views will be airing live and in HD on Sky Select.

"This renewal will take WWE's relationship with Sky Deutschland into its thirteenth year and is testament to the ever growing popularity of WWE in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We look forward to expanding the brand by delivering more content to our fans on the different platforms of Sky Deutschland," said Andrew Whitaker, Executive Vice President of International for WWE.

The VP of Sports for Sky Deutschland, Roman Steuer, was equally excited about the deal.

"In the upcoming three years, we will offer our subscribers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland the most extensive and up-to-date WWE coverage in the history of German-language television. The unique mixture of sport and entertainment is representative of Sky's programming diversity and will be an important component of our high-value sports service in the future."
