The premiere episode of Smackdown on SyFy pulled in a 1.74 rating with an average of 2,524,000 viewers for the two hour broadcast.
WWE issued a press release saying that the show was the most watched on Friday night during its time slot since 2008 and it had 91% more viewers than the cable channel had in the same spot last week.
The press release also pimps the fact that in the first hour Smackdown delivered more Men 18-49 than ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox and more Men 25-54 than Fox and ABC.
During the second hour of the broadcast, Smackdown delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 than Fox, more Men 25-54 than Fox and CW, and more Men 18-49 than Fox, CW and NBC.
