Reported by Ernest I Aguilar The Smack is being laid Down for us tonight in Randy Orton's home town, St. Louis Missouri. The show begins with Booker T in the middle of the ring introducing World Champion Mark Henry. Booker is here to interview Henry, and he congratulates Henry on his first World Title. Henry thinks Booker, a 6 time champ, is insulting Henry by emphasizing that this is his FIRST title. Booker T insists he meant no insult and that if he had, Henry would know it. Henry says if he put Booker through the announce table, he would know it. Henry then says that thankfully for Booker, he's here for Orton, not Booker T. Henry tells us that he will induct Randy Orton into his "Hall of Pain" just like he did to the Undertaker, Kane, and Jerry Lawler. Booker T asks why Henry can't just be the best champion he can be, and not keep on trying to end people's careers. Henry orders Booker to lower his town, and then explains that he tried being positive for 15 years and it got him nowhere. Booker asks if Henry is worried about getting hit with an RKO and Henry says if Randy could have hit him with it, he would have by now. He can't RKO Henry, and he can't beat him either. Henry tells us he's also going to beat the Great Khali tonight and calls him out. Match #1: Mark Henry versus the Great Khali. The two men exchange several punches and kicks. Khali gets the early advantage and lands a headbutt, a punch, and a clothesline. Khali kicks Henry in the legs and then gives him a big chop in the corner and the Great Khali chop in the middle of the ring. Khali goes for the cover but gets only two. Henry picks Khali up and drives him into the corner and then beats him down. Henry hits Khali with 2 big splashes and goes for a cover but gets only two. Henry appears angry that Khali kicked out. Khali tries to fight back but Henry hits him with the World's Strongest slam for the win. After the match, Henry gets a chair and traps Khali's leg in it. Henry then comes crashing off the second rope onto the leg and the chair and breaks Khali's leg. Commercial When we return, Khali is being wheeled away by the medics when Jinder Mahal shows up to yell at Khali and tell him he deserved this. Match #2: Evan Bourne with Kofi Kingston versus Jack Swagger with Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler. Evan gets behind Swagger quickly, but Swagger responds by landing several strikes and choking Evan on the ropes. Swagger suplexes Bourne and then wraps up his arms behind his back on the mat. Evan escapes and lands a couple kicks. Evan goes for a hurricanrana but Swagger blocks it and slams Bourne to the mat. Swagger goes for a corner slingshot splash but Bourne gets his legs up to block it. Bourne hits Swagger with a spin kick and then a diving double knee drop to his shoulders, forcing him to the canvas for a 2 count. Vickie distracts the referee for a moment and Dolph hits Bourne with a cheap shot. Swagger tries to finish Bourne off with a gut wrench powerbomb, but Evan slips out of it hits Swagger with a high knee to the head. Evan kicks Dolph out of the way and then climbs to the top rope to try for a Shooting Star press. Vickie pushes Bourne off the top rope and Swagger puts on the ankle lock. Bourne taps out and Swagger wins with help from both Dolph and Vickie. Commercial Match #3: Sin Cara versus Heath Slater. Slater starts off with a few strikes, but Sin Cara quickly takes over. Sin Cara hits a handspring back elbow, a couple kicks to the head, and then a moonsault from the top rope for the win. After the match the other Sin Cara appears on the big screen. The impostor claims that Sin Cara stole his old identity (Mistico, Sin Cara's in ring name in Mexico) so now he will still Sin Cara's new identity at Hell in a Cell. The other Sin Cara takes off his blue mask to reveal a black mask underneath. Now we can tell them apart! Commercial When we return, the always exciting John Laurinaitis is in the locker room talking to all the stars that want to sue current COO HHH: Christian, Cody Rhodes, Vickie and Dolph, and their legal counsel, David Otunga. John seems sympathetic, but also insists he's a company man. Otunga (a Harvard Law graduate) is going to handle their case. Even Christian, a man that has repeatedly referred to his own legal team, is willing to let Otunga represent them. They all agree that are all in for Raw this Monday and quietly nod their heads in agreement. David Otunga then asks them all to calm down, which is odd because if they were any calmer they'd all be unconscious. Commercial Match #4: Kelly Kelly versus Natalya. Kelly starts things off with a couple forearms and Natalya responds by picking her up and slamming her into the corner. Natalya charges at Kelly in the corner but Kelly gets her legs up and hits her with both boots. Kelly comes off the top rope at Natalya and then puts her in a waist lock. Natalya pushes Kelly off, clotheslines her, and then wraps up her arm and neck on the mat. Kelly fights her way out and Natalya slams her back down. Kelly lands a kick and then jumps up onto Natalya's shoulders. Kelly drops down and rolls Natalya up for the win. After the match, Beth Phoenix runs in and takes Kelly out with the Glam Slam. Natalya then puts Kelly in the new submission hold she has been using in recent weeks: a leg lock surfboard which can also be used as a pinning combination. Kelly screams in pain and Beth taunts her, holding the microphone close to Kelly's mouth so we can all hear her screams of agony. Commercial Match #5: Cody Rhodes versus Sheamus. Cody and his baggers come out first, and Cody has a mic. Cody tells us that he's fed up with WWE management. Randy Orton recently assaulted him with a steel ring bell, giving him 9 stapes in his head, and the WWE did nothing about it. Instead, they made him defend his title against 10 men in a battle royal, and now are making him defend against that drunken Irish braggart and bar room brawler, Sheamus. Cody is mad and is taking this match under protest. Sheamus comes out and asks Cody if he's heard the story about the drunken Irish braggart and bar room brawler that beats Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental championship. Cody doesn't respond and Sheamus says it's not Irish folklore, it's what he's going to do right now. The match starts with Sheamus pushing Cody down into the corner. Cody gets up and they exchange a series of strikes that ends with Sheamus clotheslining Rhodes to the mat. Sheamus goes for a cover, but Cody kicks out and retreats to the outside of the ring. Cody re-enters the ring and hits Sheamus with a shoulder block; Sheamus responds with a backdrop and another near-fall. Sheamus ties Rhodes up in the ropes and pounds on his chest repeatedly. Cody escapes, hits Sheamus with his facemask, and then snaps Sheamus' arm down over the top rope. Cody gets back in the ring and hits Sheamus with Beautiful Disaster and gets a two count. Commercial When we return, Cody is working on Sheamus' left shoulder with a hammerlock. After an Irish whip, Cody lands a kick and then a dropkick. Cody hits Sheamus with a headbutt using the face mask, and then follows up with a kick. Sheamus fights back and lands a couple kicks, but Cody lands a kick of his own and then forces Sheamus to the mat. Cody lands a kick in the corner and then slams Sheamus' left arm into the steel post. The two men exchange punches and kicks and Cody gets the advantage. Cody puts Sheamus in a hammerlock but Sheamus fights his way out. Cody lands a kick and an elbow then goes back to work on the left arm of Sheamus. Sheamus gets to his feet and forces Cody to the floor. Sheamus slams Cody into the steel steps shoulder first. Sheamus rolls Cody back in and knocks him down with a pair of clotheslines and a running knee lift. Sheamus goes to the top rope and hits Cody with a flying shoulder block. Sheamus goes for a Brogue kick but Cody gets out of the way. Cody goes for Beautiful Disaster but Sheamus knocks him out of the air. Sheamus sets Cody up for the Celtic Cross but is suddenly attacked by Christian. Christian causes the match to end in disqualification, costing Sheamus his chance to become Intercontinental Champion. Christian hits Sheamus with the Kill Switch, tells him it's payback for costing Christian the World Title and then asks him how he feels. Commercial Match #6: Zach Ryder versus JTG. JTG lands several strikes and a neckbreaker to start things off, and then follows up with a gut wrench elevated neckbreaker. JTG hits Zach with a knee and then puts him in a chin lock. Zach punches his way out, lands a big boot and a pair of clotheslines, and then slams JTG's face to the turnbuckle. Zach does a fist pump for the crowd and then hits JTG with the "Broski Boot" (a running kick to the face of an opponent seated in the corner). Zach goes for a cover but gets only two, asking the ref "are you serious bro?" Zach whips JTG to the ropes and JTG lands a punch, but Zach hits the "Rough Ryder" (a jumping leg lariat) for the win. In the back, we see Mr. Personality John Laurinaitis texting someone (probably someone evil) something (probably something evil) when he is interrupted by HHH. HHH is angry about the secret meeting with the Superstars that are planning a lawsuit. John responds that as VP of talent relations, he's like a buffer between the talent and the COO, but insists he is 100% loyal. HHH says he's glad to hear that, because if he can't trust his employees, all he can do is "wish them well in their future endeavors." As HHH leaves, John does some more evil texting. Commercial When we return, Matt Striker is interviewing Randy Orton. Randy tells us that Mark Henry wants to end his career, and Orton asks if Henry knows who the hell he is. Orton claims to have committed more atrocities in the WWE than anyone (and sounds proud) and is intimidated by no one. He says he gave Cody Rhodes 9 staples in his head just last week and feels no regret. Orton also says Henry better pray Orton hits him with an RKO and ends it early, because Orton knows so many ways to hurt people inside Hell in a Cell. Commercial Match #7: Christian versus Randy Orton. Randy gets behind Christian, takes him down, and puts him in a headlock. Randy whips Christian to the ropes and shoulder blocks him. Christian puts his hands up for a test of strength and then hits Orton with a kick and a punch. Christian whips Orton to the ropes and Orton leapfrogs Christian twice before knocking Christian down with a shoulder block. After an Irish whip, Christian goes to the floor and punches up at Orton's face. Christian climbs to the top and hits Orton with a missile drop kick. Orton and Christian exchange a series of kicks and punches that ends with Christian taking Orton down with a spinebuster. Commercial When we return, Christian is in control and hits Orton with a neckbreaker. Christian then drapes Orton's body over the second rope and stands on his back, pulling down on the top rope for added pressure. Christian plants Orton with an inverted DDT and then hits him with several humiliating slaps in the face. Randy gets back to his feet and knocks Christian down with a Thesz press. Christian gets back to his feet, lands a punch, a kick, and then an elbow to Orton. Christian twists Orton's head and neck until Orton breaks free with a European uppercut. Orton whips Christian hard into the corner. Orton and Christian exchange punches and Orton drops Christian with a perfect standing dropkick. Orton hits Christian with a clothesline and then a backdrop. Orton forces Christian to the corner, then climbs to the second rope and hits Christian repeatedly in the head as the crowd counts. Orton whips Christian to the opposite corner and charges, but Christian hits him with a pendulum kick. Randy lands a kick and then hits Christian with a gut wrench elevated neck breaker. Orton tries to set Christian up for a rope hung DDT but Christian blocks it and lands a punch. Orton hits Christian with a scoop slam and then whips him to the corner. Orton charges but Christian gets his boots up. Christian goes to the top rope to go for a flying body press but Orton dodges it. Orton goes for an RKO but Christian blocks it and hits Orton with a spear!! Christian goes for a cover but Orton kicks out at 2. Christian goes for the Kill Switch but Orton fights it off and lands an elbow. Randy whips Christian around and into the ropes and then hits the rope hung DDT. Orton looks like he's getting in a zone; Christian retreats to the floor, and then starts to leave the ring area. Orton chases after him, lands a couple strikes and then whips him into the steel steps. The ref is counting them both out and is up to seven. Orton whips Christian into the security barrier and then pounds on him some more. The ref counts to ten and the match officially ends in a double count out, but Orton doesn't seem to care. Orton sets up the announce table to RKO Christian through it, when Cody Rhodes comes out to attack Orton. Rhodes and Christian double team Orton and beat him down. Sheamus comes out to attack Christian and Christian runs away with Sheamus in pursuit. Mark Henry comes out to attack Orton and Orton attacks him first. Orton lands several punches and tries to hit an RKO but Henry just pushes him off. Henry then flattens Orton with the World's Strongest Slam and starts to leave the ring. Henry looks at Orton and re-enters the ring, walking to the opposite side, near the announce table. Henry exits the ring, grabs a steel chair, and then comes back in. Randy gets up suddenly and unexpectedly and finally hits Mark Henry with an RKO! Henry drops to the mat and falls to the floor as Orton stands staring down at him. Orton climbs the ropes to pose for the crowd and Mark Henry struggles to get back to his feet outside the ring as SmackDown comes to a close. |
