WWE rents 66,000 square feet building for the WWE Network

Reported by Ernest I Aguilar

WWE has rented a 66,000 square feet building which will house storage and production for the new WWE Network in South Norwalk, 7 miles away from their production facilities in Stamford.

The announcement was made by city officials and the building's landlord according to TheHour.com which carried the story.

"They needed additional space and we have a facility that worked well for them," said Kevin Segalla, president of the Connecticut Film Center, which rented the space to WWE. "It's great for Norwalk and the Connecticut media industry. I've been working with WWE over the years and this is part of their natural growth."

WWE is looking to fill 50 positions at the WWE Network to add to their over 600 employee count already. "We'll need people to do the work in Norwalk, but we're not sure how many jobs we're looking at right now," said WWE's Robert Zimmerman.

WWE will launch their network sometime in 2012 possibly as early as WrestleMania.
