- Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir was officially announced for Saturday May 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The title of the PPV is 'UFC 98: Lesnar vs Mir 2'.
The main event fight will determine the undisputed UFC Heavyweight champion and Lesnar will also try and defeat the man who gave him his first MMA loss in just 90 seconds. In their first fight, Lesnar dominated Mir but tapped out after the more experienced Mir caught him in a knee bar.
"Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir put on one of the most intense one round fights I’ve ever seen at UFC 81," said UFC President Dana White.
"I'm delighted to have a rematch against Frank Mir. I can't wait to get my revenge and finish this fight on the ground the way it should have been finished last time," said Lesnar who defeated Randy Couture for the UFC Heavyweight title last November. Mir won the Interim Heavyweight title from Antonio Nogueira in December.
Tickets are priced $800, $600, $400, $250, $125 and $75 and will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, March 7 at 10AM PST at Ticketmaster.com.
